Background
The 1940s animated Superman. In this version of the story people from krypton are just naturally superhuman, rather than being gifted power by the Earth’s sun. Additionally Superman was not adopted by the kents when he came to Earth as a baby. Instead he grew up at an orphanage. Other aspects of the superman mythos like his human identity of Clark Kent and job as a news reporter are the same.
