Gogeta and Vegito are both the fusions of Goku and Vegeta, via differing methods. The former via the fusion dance technique and the latter via magical objects called the potara earrings. As a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta has access to the combined training and abilities of both. As well as a myriad of exclusive moves that combine their abilities into new attacks.
The combination of Goku’s battle heavy mindset and Vegeta’s arrogance, can sometimes make this fusion over confident. Though in most cases they can overpower the opponent to such an extent that it doesn’t matter that much.
According to the world guide books Potara fusion is supposedly the more powerful and efficient fusion method between the two.Fusion is explained in both GT and Super to increase a person’s fighting ability dozens of times over. For example Vegito in DBZ could fight Super Buu in his base, which was impossible for SS3 Goku. Gogeta in Super fought Broly in base and SS better than Goku/Vegeta could in SS blue.
Fusion methods
Fusion Dance
The ability to fuse with another person, by manipulating Ki in tandem with a series of ballet-like poses. Both people involved in the fusion must have similar power levels and physical statues. The poses they make must also be perfectly symmetrical, or else the fusion will fail. The fusion lasts approximately 30 minutes before wearing off, though increased power usage can make that time limit drop considerably.

Abilities
KI
A form of metaphysical life energy that exists within all living things. Humanoids and other sapient creatures can harness it to increase their physical strength and durability. As well as channel it for various energy attacks. A large enough outburst of ki can affect the environment, manipulating clouds and causing earthquakes.

God Ki
A specialized version of Ki typically utilized by deities. God Ki is more potent than normal ki and normally can’t be sensed by non deities. Goku first learned how to utilize God Ki after performing the Super Saiyan God ritual, but has since learned to tap into that on his own. Gogeta/Vegito inherit this ability.

Sensing God Ki

Regeneration
God Ki can also be used to regenerate minor or major wounds, such as impalation.
Ki blasts
The ability to create small explosive bullets of Ki as a projectile attack.
Flight
The ability to manipulate ki to fly or lift oneself into the air. The technique was initially introduced into the series by the crane hermit students Tien and Chaitsu.
Spirit control
Various techniques for better regulating and controlling spiritual energy. Techniques such as instant transmission and the fusion dance are both sub-set abilities utilized via spirit control. Goku learned advanced spirit control techniques after landing on the planet yardrat after escaping Namek in the Freeza saga. The fusion inherits this ability.
Instant transmission
The ability to instantly teleport to another location via KI. Gogeta/Vegito can go both short distances, and long distances ranging from across the universe, the afterlife and outer worlds of the Kai. You typically need some kind of energy beacon to lock onto so can get to a destination. This typically takes the form of allies or the general populace of a location. Due to the nature of the instant transmission being connected to the ki sense, there tends to be a limit to the teleporting range based on the power and distance of the people he’s trying to sense.
Note: The original anime stated Goku dematerialized into light when using this move. This was a mistranslation.
Forced spirit fission
A new ability that Vegeta used in the Moro arch. It allows a person to forcibly separate life energy that has been obtained via absorption or fusion. This can essentially be used to undo fused characters like Piccolo and Kami.
Eye blast
A projectile ki attack projected from the eyes.
Kamehameha
A powerful Ki attack invented by master Roshi over a period of 50 years. It’s an energy beam released from the user's palms that has significantly more power behind it than an average kick, punch or Ki beam.
Ultimate
A more powerful K-wave used in the god forms.
Cloning
The ability to create energy duplicates of oneself. The power of the person in question is split between the copies.
Big Bang Kamehameha
A combination beam attack that mixes elements of Vegeta’s Big bang attack and Goku’s Kameha wave.
Kio-ken
A power multiplication ability taught to Goku by King Kai. The ability multiplies speed, strength and endurance form 2x to around 20x. Kio-Ken requires intense concentration and Ki manipulation abilities and overuse of higher levels can cause blowback on the bodies of the people who use it. Gogeta/Vegito should technically be able to use it.

A move where God ki is used to create two powerful Ki spheres that are flung at an opponent.

A move that binds an opponent in the air, before exploding them with God Ki

Transformations
Super Saiyan
A legendary transformation of the Saiyan race that had been forgotten about for centuries until Goku rediscovered it after witnessing the death of his friend Krillen at the hands of Freeza.. The official guide books state this form is a 50x power boost, though other multipliers higher and lower have been suggested by other media or Akira himself. Because this form has emotional turmoil as its trigger, the form tends to increase aggression. The “base” Super Saiyan transformation has several variants.
Note: Technically Gogeta/Vegito should be able to use SS2 and 3, but they never had to in any canon installment or GT.
Super Saiyan 4
A separate branch of the SS transformation that utilizes the power of the great ape form, while maintaining a humanoid appearance. Only Super Saiyans who can maintain control over their great ape state can access it. True to its name, it's more powerful than SS3. It was initially believed only full blood saiyans could use the form. The form also increases aggression.

Super Saiyan Blue
Essentially the Super saiyan god form stacked with the normal super saiyan form. Its official name is super saiyan god super saiyan, but said name was shortened to Super saiyan Blue. Goku and Vegeta obtained the form after training with Whis on Beerus’s planet. Hence Gogeta has it.
Note: Gogeta could technically have Ultra instinct or Vegeta’s new destruction form due to being a fusion of both.
