Character Analysis: Thor (feat Akuma)

History

  • Born of Odin: All-Father of the Asgardians and Firehair: Mutant Avatar of the Phoenix Force, Thor was a young Asgardian who dreamed of one day wielding the hammer Mjolnir into battle. The problem was it could only be wielded by someone worthy of using it. But Thor was not worthy at the time until he found love in Midgar. Now worthy, Thor uses his power to help Asgard in many battles.

  • The problem is Thor was very arrogant. To teach his son humility, he placed a spell that will only give Thor limited access to his power as he spends most of his life as Donald Blake. For 10 years, he lived that life without knowing his true power until one trip to Norway led him to a stick that when he strikes the ground will allow him to become Thor once more. Overtime, he would regain the memory he once had and use his power to help Midgard and Asgard when called upon.

  • After stopping Ragnarok for good, Thor found himself no longer worthy to lift the hammer. He also lost an arm. As Jane Foster took the role, Odinson began to do his own work without the hammer. That was until the Mangog returned and caused the hammer to be lost. With Jane’s blessing, Thor reclaimed his name and title. He would continue to use his axe and other hammers, but it was only until the War of the Realms that saw him once more with Mjolnir.

  • After this, Odin stepped down and allowed Thor to become the All-Father of Asgard. Now with the Power of the Odin Force, Thor continues to help with the Avengers as well as rule Asgard as best as he can. But as of right now, his hammer is missing once more and anyone can wield it. Yet he finds it difficult to do so. Also his arm is back thanks to Galactus.

Powers and Abilities

As Thor Normally

  • Asgardian/Mutant Hybrid Physiology - He is super strong, fast, and has incredible reflexes and stamina.

  • Vast Energy Manipulation - Can channel energies very well.

  • Weather Control - Not just storms, he can create all sorts of weather.

  • Superhuman Longevity - While he can die, he could live for thousands of years and one time till the end of existance.

  • Invulnerability - He can’t be sick, poisoned or even needs air.

  • Superhuman Dense Tissue - His density is three times that of humans.

  • Superhuman Senses - Can see things as far as the solar system. 

  • Rapid Healing Factor - He can recover from minor injuries much faster than mortals.

  • Super Breath - Can breathe to create hurricanes

  • Flight - He no longer needs his hammer to do so.

  • Telepathy Immunity - Can fight off Telepathic powers.

  • Warrior’s Madness - The Warrior's madness enables Thor to increase his strength and stamina tenfold. Despite this, it threatens Thor's sanity. The symptoms include berserker rage, massive headaches, mentally erratic, savage, animalistic, uncontrollable behavior, and unreasoning.

From the Hammer (though these are the ones he has yet to show without it)

  • Mystical Link - Thor can remotely control his hammer.

  • God-Blast - A powerful blast that uses a lot of his energies into one powerful attack.

  • Anti-Force - Another blast that could annihilate entire planets.

  • Thermo-Blast - A Universe shaking blast.

  • Energy Absorption and Redirection - From Storms to Gamma Radiation to even the Cosmic Force Galactus wield

  • Matter Manipulation - By spinning it in a specific way, can manipulate matter on a molecular level. 

  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation - It says it in the name.

  • Cosmic Energy - Can control cosmic energies.

  • Energy Sensing - The name says it all.

  • Nether World Power - Tap into the Dark Dimension to get power.

  • Teleportation - Via Vortexes.

  • Transmigration of Souls - Can manipulate souls.

  • Life Force Absorption - The name says it all.

  • Illusion Detection - Find the real among fakes.
