 Most wanted Battle royale: Link Battle royale

There aren't a lot of “Battle Royales” that I think can actually work. A lot of them have very obvious winners(typically the leader on any given team) and others don’t have a lot of thematics or star power. But a Link Battle royale seemingly avoids most of those pitfalls. Not only is Zelda hugely popular, but each individual Link has enough quirks to make a battle between them all somewhat interesting. It’s also a topic I’ve seen at least a few Zelda fans on youtube make videos on, so I know it’s something that people have an interest in

Anyway obviously it wouldn’t be possible to have every incarnation of Link in a single fight, but I’ve narrowed it down to about 6 incarnations I think most people would agree are the most popular. The Hero of Time, The Hero of Winds, The Hero of Legends, The Hero of the Sky, The Hero of the Wilds, and the Hero of Twilight. 

Most wanted Team fight: The Powerpuff girls vs The Crystal gems

It amazes me how few “team fights” we’ve had on this show. Red vs Blue is honestly the only one unless you count Eggman vs Wily. I’d really like to have another fight like that and this is one of the few ideas I think could really work.

Both trios of characters are superheroes that are iconic to two different eras of Cartoon network. Each of the 3 roughly matches with a similar personality type on the other side. Likewise, the fight is made more interesting due to the team attacks and fusions being available to both sides. Plus we need to cancel out that terrible live-action reboot somehow.

Most wanted Fight rematch: Eggman vs Wily

I think the original Eggman vs Wily fight is a pretty good fight for a season 2 episode, but I also think it’s very in need of an update. Not only have both Doctors gotten tons of new mechs, minions, and machines in the years since the original. But the original didn’t really utilize calcs at all and mixed in a lot of outside media that probably wouldn’t be acknowledged today(Satam, Adventures, Archie, etc). I’ll also say that while I found the original eps ending of having “metal Sonic” win funny, I’m also interested in having a more definitive ending to the fight that’s less ambiguous. 

Most wanted Returning character: Bowser

I feel like Bowser still has a lot of potential as far as Death Battle goes. I have tons of ideas for much higher new calcs for the Mario series and I’d like to see him utilize some of his newer abilities in a fight. I’m also curious how his fighting style could be implemented with the show's current animation team. The only thing I’m not sure of is who he should potentially fight.

Most Wanted New character: Commander Sheppard 

I’ve played all the Mass effect games and really would love to delve into one of its characters in an episode one day. Commander Sheppard lends themselves as an obvious choice and an interesting character to tackle given their high customization. In terms of combatants, I think Star-Lord would work well, albeit I don’t know much about his comic cannon abilities.

Most wanted new Franchise: Danganronpa

Not gonna lie, Danganronpa is a bit more niche of a series, but it has a dedicated following and a few characters I think can work in a Death Battle setting. Including Izuru, Toko, Junko Enoshima, and most likely Monokunma. In particular, Monokuma vs Koro Sensei seems to have some fans in vs communities I’ve been a part of (though the winner seems to have a split consensus). I also feel like the series is probably going to get a resurgence soon due to new games, so as a longtime fan I’m really interested in having it on the show.

Most wanted Army fight: Big Boss and MFS vs Nick Fury(Sr. or Jr.) and Shield

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a true army fight and Metal Gear hasn’t shown up in a long time as well. The show’s already used Solid Snake and Raiden on, so having the last major protagonist of the Metal Gear series makes sense to me. Likewise, given Big Boss’s games generally focused around having multiple teams and organizations working with him, it makes sense to capitalize on them for the fight. 

Obviously, Shield makes sense as an opposing military organization. Likewise, while I think both Nick Fury Sr. or Jr could work as a combatant(Sr. Was the caucasian Nick Fury, while the Jr is the one based on Jackson). Though obviously Sr. is slightly more thematic even if he isn’t as recognizable in this day and age.

Most wanted General Fight: Gwenpool vs Haruko

Yeah most people who know me are aware this is my most wanted fight.

I’m sure a lot of people aren't aware of this, but Gwenpool actually doesn’t share any relation to Gwen Stacy or Deadpool. She’s essentially a normal girl Isekai protag who was thrown into the Marvel universe. Her original comic is actually pretty good and she ends up getting a lot of really bonkers 4th wall breaking powers, except, unlike Deadpool these powers are legit reality warping.

Haruko is from an anime called FLCL which is really well known for its surrealism, crazy animation, and some really odd 4th wall breaks(transitioning between animation styles or to manga). She’s also an alien and has a lot of space/time powers via an energy source called no-zone.

In terms of connections, I would say both are pink-themed 4th wall breakers from another world that use space/time powers generated via thought or imagination.

Anyway, a fight between the two has a lot of potential animation-wise and could probably go further off the walls more than any of the fights Deadpool fights. I could also imagine the 4th wall breaking being treated as more of a “tool” for combat rather than just a flat-out joke like with those fights as well. My hope would be that it would be a 2d animated fight with an art style in a similar vein to the Guirihiru art style from the Gwenpool comic. As well as a vocal track with some Japanese lyrics.
