History
The Potara Earrings are worn by every Supreme Kai. While it is part of the average Supreme Kais' wardrobe, they have a bonus ability. If two people wear the earrings on opposing ears, the two shall fuse together to create one powerful being, not the sum of their abilities but the multiplication of them. If used with a Supreme Kai, the fusion is permanent unless using Dragon Balls. But if worn by non-Supreme Kais, the effects only last an hour.
Powers and Abilities
Offensive
Kiai - The user affects the air currents around him with ki to produce powerful shock waves in order to strike the opponent.
Banshee Blast – The user leans forward and points all five fingers of his right hand at the opponent. Then, he charges up five small golden-yellow energy spheres each on the tip of each finger and finally fires the energy spheres at the opponent, inflicting a great deal of damage.
Final Kamehameha – Combination of Final Flash and Kamehameha
Big Bang Kamehameha – Combination of Big Bang Attack and Kamehameha
Spirit Sword – Vegito charges condensed energy in his right hand and forms into a sword-like blast that can be controlled to become longer or shorter.
Defensive
Saiyan Shield – Vegito used this technique to put up a barrier around his body to avoid being turned into "buu goo" by Super Buu when he was absorbed by him.
Misc
Anything Goku or Vegeta Knows - Since the Fusion shares the memories of the two, any technique or ability one has Vegito would have access to. This would include

Any Feats Goku or Vegeta did is on the table and multiplied with Vegito.

Strength
Fusion can be done by any pair, regardless of power level.
Combined Power is Multiplied, not added up.
Daizenshuu #7 uses an example of Goku’s Powers Multiplied by Vegeta’s Power when becoming Vegito
The Requirement is to just put on an earring on the opposite side of your partner.
Permanent if using a Supreme Kai, otherwise an Hour.
If the pair has a relationship (Rivals, Siblings, Lovers), the Fusion is more potent than with a random pair.
Weakness
Users must be able to put on earrings on their ears.
Hour Time limit can be reduced if the Fusion is too powerful
SSB Vegito ended in 40 minutes due to the output of power
If the earrings are destroyed, the fusion will end.
Earrings are fragile.
It is possible if Fusing with a weaker person, the effects will create a weaker combination.
Merged Zamazu has a harder time regeneration because Goku Black is not immortal.
Questionable
Numerous times, it was said you shouldn’t use it with a tired person. Yet Kale and Caulifla fused with no problem despite Caulifla being tired.
Elder Kai said you shouldn’t fuse while in a higher form because you will stay in that form, but Goku Black and Kale/Caulifla fused while in their higher states and they had no problem.
