Background
True name: Bruce Wayne
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 210 lbs.
Backstory: Everyone knows Batman. Parents killed in front of him when he was a kid, spent his life as a vigilante seeking revenge, billionaire by morning, hero by night. The Caped Crusader is known mainly for taking on characters that aren’t particularly superhuman by using his wit, training, and tools. But sometimes, the Bat needs to take on much stronger threats, and that’s when he whips out the strongest pieces of his arsenal: his armors.
Powers, Equipment, & Techniques
Since the big connection of this match is the fact that they use armors to take on superhuman threats, the main focus of my research was on Batman’s best armors. The regular Batsuit is essentially a non-factor, so I will be omitting it.
Martial Arts Expertise: Batman has mastered every single martial art known to man, be it armed or unarmed. His combat mastery is so high that when he faced foes from the future, he was able to adapt to their fighting styles in a matter of seconds. Batman’s unique style has also been referred to as “Bam Pow”. Yeah.
Justice Buster Batsuit: A bulky Batsuit created as a part of Bruce’s Fenrir contingency plan to take down the Justice League should they ever go rogue. It was used against the Justice League’s hard-hitters when they were infected by Joker’s toxins.
Bind of Veils: A magical relic forged by Hephaestus in a moment of doubt. Meant to serve as a counter to Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth, this relic tricks the opponent into believing that they have won.
High Speed Servers: This suit possesses extremely fast computer servers that allow Batman to track foes as fast as Flash and map his movements out faster than Bruce himself could possibly react to.
Frictionless Coating: Another measure against Flash. The suit’s hyper-fast cannon can shoot out a liquid that completely nullifies the friction of whatever it touches, which essentially makes them so slippery they’re incapable of standing, much less moving.
Powdered Magnesium Carbonate Cannon: A cannon that shoots out a mass of the most absorbent material on Earth. This goop encases the enemy and absorbs all the moisture in their body. The more they struggle, the more water it’ll absorb. This is a measure against Aquaman.
Electromagnetic Nerve Tree: A measure created against Cyborg. Although we do not see it in action, given its name, it presumably uses electromagnetic pulses to target the cybernetic parts of Cyborg’s body and nullify them.
Citrine Neurolizer: A measure to weaken Green Lanterns. Although we do not see it in action, given its name, it presumably causes yellow lights to flash in the target’s brain. It’s a Men in Black reference.
Red Giants: A set of 20 red suns, miniaturized by the Atom, that are stored in the suit’s knuckles. These are a contingency measure to fight Superman, given that they absorb Superman’s radiation. There are 10 on each hand.
Plasma Shields: A set of forcefields that can deflect Superman’s heat beams and freeze breath.
Kryptonite Gum: By far the silliest thing about this suit, a polymer laced with radiated Kryptonian dust.
Son Box Batsuit/Final Batsuit: A suit created with the aide of the World Forger, who was manipulating Batman in order to defeat Superman and the Justice League. It uses the power of the Son Box. It is much taller than the usual Batsuits.
Mind Manipulation: The suit’s blasts can control the minds of those who are struck by it.
Motorized Batpods: Hyper-speed drones that can catch up to Flash and trap him with electric cables.
Electric Bindings: A set of cables that the Batsuit can fire from anywhere on the suit. These are strong enough to bind the likes of Flash and Hawkgirl.
Beam Cannon: The suit can fire giant blasts of energy that are on par with the 6th Dimension’s Martian Manhunter’s own blasts.
Matter Manipulation: This suit is able to rearrange people and items “cell by cell”.
Hellbat: Arguably the most famous of Batman’s enhanced Batsuits, this suit was forged by the Justice League, and was used by Batman to go to Apokolips to revive Damian Wayne. It works through a telepathic link. Interestingly enough, this suit has also been used by Lois Lane! It was forged in the sun with a nanokinetic mesh that can be controlled through voice command.
Biomass Manipulation: This suit draws its power directly from the wearer’s metabolism, so overusing it can drain the wearer of their life. It can also drain other people’s biomass, not just the user’s.
Boom Tubes: A method of instant transportation that allows the user to open wormholes to anywhere, even to other dimensions. In order to use them, Batman has to use a Mother Box.
Photonic Cloaking: A system that allows the Hellbat to turn completely invisible.
Internal AI: A computer that helps Batman monitor the state of his body. However, he kinda doesn’t give a shit about it.
Flight: By using its massive wingspan, the Hellbat can freely fly.
Bats: The Hellbat can somehow just spawn bats strong enough to stun Darkseid.
Totally-Not-Unibeam (Unofficial name): By diverting the suit’s entire power to the chest, the Hellbat can shoot a giant bat-shaped beam. This beam was strong enough to overpower Darkseid.
Devastator: An attack where Batman diverts the suit’s entire power to his fists. This attack channels the power of Wonder Woman’s strength. However, it’s very risky for the user. [Detective Comics #998]
Random Suits
Zebra Batsuit: A regular batsuit that was affected by Zebra-Man’s polarity powers, somehow turning it into this stupid thing.
Rainbow Batman: A colorful suit that he used to get the media’s attention when Dick Grayson injured himself outside of his costume in order to save a girl. By using very bright colors, the media was distracted from the parallels between Robin and Dick’s injuries. (Detective Comics #241)
Zur-En-Arrh Batsuit: The suit worn by an alter ego of Batman that is more unhinged and only triggers in case of a psychological attack.

Scaling
Superman: With all these Herald suits, Batman has been able to stand up to his superpowered friend on numerous occasions, and although he has had to rely on stuff that decreases Superman’s strength, like Kryptonite or Red Suns, he’s still taken hits from a fully-powered Supes. And when Lois Lane used the suit, she was able to fight evenly against the Eradicator, one of Superman’s recurring baddies.
In the same issues where Batman uses the Son Box Suit, Superman one-shots the World Forger, one of the Monitors, who is capable of creating universes at will, and was about to cause another multiversal Crisis.
Darkseid: By using the Hellbat suit, Batman has been able to fight somewhat evenly against the big bad of the New Gods.
Flash: With suits like the Justice Buster, Batman has been able to tag the Scarlet Speedster, although it should be noted that the suits do most of the reacting for Bruce.
Pretty much every member of the Justice League: Even though he relies on stuff that targets their weaknesses, Batman’s Herald-level suits have been able to survive direct attacks from them and even match them physically.
Weaknesses
Although they can endure long fights with Justice League members, the Justice Buster and the other suits can still be broken if pushed far enough.
The Hellbat feeds off of Batman’s life, and overusing the suit’s functions can and will kill him.
Little bit late responding to this since the battle has already come out, but it's worth pointing out that the Superman feat of punching the World Forager was done AFTER Lois used the Hellbat to fight The Eradicator. That Eradicator shouldn't scale to that feat. Just letting you know.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if it happened afterwards superman didn't become any stronger lol
DeleteI hope that you do a Q&A. I think that this one deserves one.
ReplyDeleteHope to see the Q&A to explain again why Iron Man Beat Batman
