Army Analysis: Bowser's Lieutenant: Bowser Jr

 Background


The son of Bowser and the future king of the Koopa troop. Bowser Jr was first introduced in the game Mario Sunshine, where he aimed to kidnap Peach due to thinking she was his mother(which she doesn’t deny for some reason?). Since then he’s acted as one of Bowser’s chief enforcers and sidekick in various Mario games like New Mario Bros, the Galaxy games and numerous RPGs. He eventually reveals that he knows Peach isn't his mom, but fights Mario repeatedly anyway out of pride.


Armor

Shell

Jr has a larger turtle like shell he can duck into for defense. He can also ram into opponents as an attack with it.


Weapons


 Koopa shells

Bowser can produce the standard Koopa shells and use them as projectile weapons. They slide across the ground and bounce off walls after being thrown.


Bob-ombs

Bowser Jr can produce explosive Bob-ombs or larger bombs as projectile weapons.


Hammer

Large hammers Jr can use to hit opponents.


Spiked Balls

Large spiked balls Jr can throw at opponents as projectiles.


Magic Paintbrush

A magic paintbrush created by the scientist E.Gadd. It allows Jr to form magic paint that can be used for various offensive and supportive applications. The paintbrush itself can also be used as a melee weapon.


Jr has several different paint types including..


Normal

Normal paint, which can stun opponents, slow their movement, or be used to cover other projectiles to create explosions when they land.



Electric

Electric paint that stuns/electrifies those who step into it.


Lava

Heat based paint, that burns anything it touches.


Black

A dangerous corrosive paint that can strengthen allies at the risk of making them rampage.


In addition to the paint types, paint itself has various uses. Such as.


Sealing

The pain created by Jr.’s paintbrush can consume and seal away objects, people or power ups.


Portals

Jr’s paint can be used to create portals to separate locations. 


Enemy creation

Jr can create living creatures and enemies out of paint. In fact according to the Mario encyclopedia all the anime faced in Mario Sunshine were created by him. 



Arsenal


Clown car

A flying hovercraft modeled after the one Bowser Sr uses. It can be used for transport or to smash into opponents as an attack. 


Jr's variation of the car also has several additional powers on top of Bowser's car. For example..


Protective dome

A protective dome that can protect Jr from aerial attacks.


Spiked balls

Spiked balls that can be dropped out of the cars seat or shot out of its mouth.


Submarine mode

A submarine mode that allows the clown car to move and explore underwater. This mode also has a torpedo launcher.


Boxing Gloves

Extending boxing glove arms that can bash opponents.


Extendo arms

The clown car can produce extendable arms for grabbing large objects or people.


Fire breathe

The clown car's mouth can also breathe fire.


Misc


Abilities

Resurrection

Jr can create a magical concoction that can resurrect people from the dead. Which he uses on the “undead” Dry Bowser.


Fire breath

Jr can breathe fire similar to his father.


Sonic scream

A sonic roar that can damage opponents or shrink them on contact.

Transformations


Shadow Mario

One of the more famous transformations in the Mario series. When Junior becomes “shadow Mario” he becomes an exact replica of the real Mario, with all of said characters abilities and acrobatics.  In addition to Mario’s abilities, Jr can also temporarily dematerialize when in this form to make quick getaways. It should be noted that while water specifically from Mario’s “Fludd” can harm Shadow Mario, normal water is not shown to be harmful to him.


Scaling and Feats

Jr scale to most feats done by Bower and Mario, due to fighting most of them on various occasions. Refer to the Bowser blog for a longer list of feats.
