Hey guys! For those of you unaware I’ve been sponsoring a
contest for the best Death Battle blog of 2016! The general rules are posted here,
but the short version is various G1s have entered Death Battle oriented blogs
of their choice for the chance to win various prizes(some cheap games of their
choice mostly). The entering period for blogs ends today, so it’s time to move
onto the next step, VOTING!
So here’s how voting works. Everyone gets 10 votes to allot
towards blogs of their choice. You can’t use multiple votes on the same blog
and you don’t need to order your choices into a “list” of any kind. Voting will
start from today (1/1/17) and will end on Jan 31st 2017. Anybody who
has a registered account on ScrewAttack is free to vote, though obviously
voting twice with alternate accounts is against the rules.
YOU ALSO MUST DO YOUR VOTING IN THE COMMENTS OF the announcement
post of this vote blog on Screwattack or on this vote blog itself in blog spot (preferable the former). It
would become difficult for me to keep track of votes if I get Pms, messages on
my front page or if I need to look at separate profiles in the forums. You can
also change your votes as long as you do it before the deadline.
Additionally while the formally entered blogs in the
upcoming list have priority, I have decided to be a bit more flexible due to
the enormous number of great blogs that have been made in the last year.
You will be able to
“write in” a vote for non-formally entered blogs.
If a persona on this list has a blog you prefer to the one
they entered, you can vote for it. Likewise if somebody DID NOT formally enter
in this contest at all you can vote for one of their works. The only limitation
to this rule is that you can only give a single vote to any one person,
regardless of what work you choose.
For example If I had chosen my Yu Narukami vs Jotaro blog as
an entry for this contest, you could vote for it, or you could “write in” a
vote for my composite Sonic blog. You could not however vote for both.
Anyway without any
adue and in no particular order let’s take a look at the contestants!

Bio:I'm just a guy who takes his video games way too
seriously.
My favorite game is Shadow of the Colossus and my favorite
franchises are The Legend of Zelda, Prince of Persia, Final Fantasy, Kingdom
Hearts and Castlevania.
Originally I came here for Death Battle (if you hadn't
figured that out by now), but I've found more things to enjoy here. The
community as a whole has quickly become a second family and I hope it stays
that way.
Be on the lookout for my Death Battle related blogs and my
"Frowned-upon Gaming Opinions" blog series ;)

Bio: To be honest, I'm kinda just here to hang around. I
guess I'll just gonna debunk accusations and misconceptions about some
things... Like Death Battle. Because I have to deal with a lot of shit...
Well, that and the fact that I have nothing really better to do
around here.

Bio: Greetings fellow G1, fado41 here (way to make it
obvious fado). Ehhhhh screw it.
I'm general madman of on this site
I like Death Battle, Anime and driving people insane once in
a while...including my self, yes [insert generic evil laugh here]
now who wants some pizza bagles?!!!

Bio: Greetings, reader. I am the Grand Blazer, but I also go
by Blaze, Blazer, Grand or just GB. Call me what you want. I definitely
consider myself the "nerd" type, being a big gamer and anime/manga
fan, throwing in a few comics and cartoon series too.
Like most g1s on this site, I'm a big fan of Death Battle
and enjoy giving my thoughts and opinions on upcoming fights, though it's
fairly rare that I'm actually able to contribute to debates. But being a DB
fan, I primarily do Death Analysis blogs, though I am branching out into other
stuff, be it top tens, reviews, maybe some rants, we'll see.
And that's pretty much all there is to me, fellow g1s. I
hope to see you guys around. Until then.

community.
Currently in the process of writing an epic web series! Feel
free to PM me if you're interested in hearing the details or helping.

Bio: Hi, I am Kyouma95, but my real name is Matthew. I have
been on Screwattack several years as a lurker and I learned to really like its
shows, its staff, and its community and I finally ended up joining.
I have been playing games since I was very young. We turned on Rayman Arena on our new PS2 and I have never looked back. Since then I have gotten into games of all different genres and companies, including Pokémon, Mario, Rayman, The Legend of Zelda, Metal Gear Solid and many more.

Bio: Greetings. I'm a guy who posts a series of blogs known
as Fan Made Death Battle, which is pretty much exactly how it sounds, on
screwattack.com. Whether they're any good or not is debatable, but
nevertheless, they're there, so read them whenever you can in between watching
Pewdiepie and cat videos. And remember, as they say in my home town, have the
day you have.

Bio: Hey guys. It's Strunton. I'm from Augusta, GA. I've
been playing video games ever since I was 5 years old (pretty long time). First
game I've played was SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom. My favorite
video game character is Sonic the Hedgehog. I enjoy writing fights on my
Deviantart account and love to watch a series called DEATH BATTLE (go figure).
I also like to think out the box and can be somewhat of a devil's advocate when
it comes to vs. debates.

Bio: Hey guys, I'm Thor Gundersen1058, but if that's too
much of a mouthful, you can call me Thor or just Eddie. I'm not into too many
video games, I'm on here primarily for Death Battle (Huge Shocker, I know)
anyway I used to like the show Deadliest Warrior but once it got canceled I
soon found this quadrillions of times better show and thats that. I hope to
have a career writing or animating Television Cartoons in adulthood, as such I
am an Expert on Cartoons (my wiki: http://cartoonhalloffame.wikia.com/wiki/Cartoon_Ha...)
as well as horror movies, and will help in anyway I can if one needs info in
these subjects.

Bio: Hi, Yes, Hello. Welcome. I am YoshinoVA, an avid
watcher of Death Battle and a casual overthinker of most things concerning it.
I also have a youtube channel. Lucky me. I do this thing
called "abridging". You've probably heard of TeamFourStar or
LittleKuriboh, but probably not me.
From time to time I'll try and do blogs or whatever. I don't
know. But hey. Hi there. Welcome to my profile. Welcome to nothing.

Bio: Hey guys it's Yoshirocks92 and I'm from Canada. I've
been playing video games at a very young age and my very first game that I've
played was Super Mario All Stars for the SNES so I'm a pretty good gamer and my
favorite genre of games is fighting games like Super Smash Bros and BlazBlue
for example. I also watch animes like Date A Live and my favorite show on
Screwattack is none other than DEATH BATTLE! Also I listen to vocaloid songs
like Hatsune Miku so I'm pretty much a guy who like Japanese and I would like to
go to Japan one day in my life.

Welp that’s everyone (much more than I originally expected).Keep
in mind to try to read every entry on the list and PLEASE remember to vote
based on quality and not just which fight concepts or characters you most
prefer.
ADDITONALLY I would love to have you guys describe your
thoughts on why you vote for various entries, though this is not required.
Edit:Just clarifying. No voting for yourself
and when I say 10 votes. I MEAN VOTE 10 BLOGS OUT OF THIS GIVEN LIST(not one and it doesn't need to be ordered).
Oh also on the off chance I forgot an entry, please alert me
immediately.

ReplyDeleteHaven't voted yet, cause haven't read all them. Do have to wonder if anyone will vote for me. Oh well, happy to be invited I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI vote Fado and his Lelouch blog.
ReplyDeleteI vote for HomestuckLover's blog because he deserves at least one pity vote ;P
ReplyDeleteJK
I vote for Shade's Axe Cop vs Bobobo blog because it went through every last detail to find a winner between these two, and left no corner untouched. With most blogs, there's always at least something you can add. Not this blog. Just reading this whole thing makes you feel like an expert on both series.
The fight between Axe Cop and Bobobo itself is very witty and well thought out. The fakeout actually got me, not gonna lie.
So Shade gets my number one vote.
I'll also give some votes to Thor, Imperator, and Grand Blazer
so in no particular order
ReplyDeleteDeath Analysis: Villager(animal crossing)
i was really interested to learn about said character and this blog did not disappoint
Death Battle Prediction: Spiderman vs Kyoko Sakura
its a real treat to see GB back to blogging and this was a real treat kinda a weird matchup but he did a hell of a great job justifying it and i think what made it most enjoyable was how much he obviously was a big fan of both characters
Death Battle Prediction: Axe Cop vs Bobobo
(Hopes its not cheating to vote for this but since its under shade) Was a privilege and insane acid trip burden to work on this blog with shade, we poured everything we found on the characters and all are skill as vs debtors into the making, and ya know what, i think we nailed it
Death Analysis:Patrick Star
oh man been looking forward to homies Patrick vs DBZ dude i can't spell without looking it up, but this was a really good substitute he really upgraded it from the last mini one he did, including all the episodes movies specials and games
Death Analysis: Sailor Moon
Imp is pretty known for pumping out detailed and interesting blogs like most make breakfast, but boy did this knock everyones metaphorical (and possibly literal) socks off, she covered every detail about how OP Usagi is then literally went through the entire SM multimedia franchise to give us the glorious OP-ness? (don't say that out loud) of Composite Usagi. not to mention how enjoyable it was to see how much she clearly cares for the series and character
Death Analysis: Sceptile
Sceptile is probably the most badass pokemon that exists and i don't know how this blog could have displayed that better
Death Battle Prediction: Noel Vermillion vs Aigis
Noel and Aigis are a really good matchup and its always great to see more obscure characters have a go, Yoshi did a fantastic job with the research and displaying how much levels of awesome this fight contains
My votes would have to go to YoshinaVA, Grand Blazer, Thor, Gaming News Guy, Strunton, Imperator100, Dudeblade, Hero, Sawlot and Fado.
