Background
The world may seem basic to a normal person, despite the complications of humans and their emotions. However, while negative emotions are also seemingly normal to many, not many would think of how drastic of an effect they could actually have. Besides negative emotions making you unhappy like in real life, living in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen means that they’ll manifest into monstrous invisible beings known as Curses (1, 27-28/43), who tend to murder innocent people in ways that are unexplained to many (1, 26), though mostly only in Japan (200). Luckily, there are many humans in this world who are capable of not only seeing Curses, but being able to utilize Cursed Energy like them to combat and exorcise them. These people are called Jujutsu Sorcerers, trained at Jujutsu High Schools (2, 85), whose jobs are to protect humanity while keeping them unaware of what these monsters are. The most powerful Sorcerers of this organization belong to the Gojo family, with their latest in line who shifted the balance of the world: Satoru Gojo (96, 160-161).
With his family having been seen as the top of the Jujutsu hierarchy that maintains the balance of the world, Satoru Gojo’s status and powerful abilities were known to all. Despite this, he wasn’t perfect in his youth. When he and his friend Geto were in charge of protecting a girl named Riko Amanai (66), they would end up failing (65), resulting in her death (73). This was especially an issue since Amanai was needed as Jujutsu High’s next vessel for Tengen’s immortality, which would continue keeping barriers around the academies that would teach up-and-coming Sorcerers (67). Gojo and Geto’s conflicting ideals on Jujutsu society after this incident would lead Geto down a dark path (77 and 78).
Gojo has since become a teacher at Jujutsu High for first years (Volume 0 - 2, 60-61), and would utilize his authority to resist the hierarchy’s higher-ups’ manipulation and create a better world by teaching and raising his students to not be selfish idiots like the higher-ups (11, 79-81), especially when these higher-ups would affect other people’s lives for the worse (42, 151-152). This was Gojo’s plan for the future of Jujutsu society, though Geto had left, thinking that humanity needs to evolve through painful methods and become stronger as a result.
On the bright side, there was an opportunity for Gojo. After a student by the name of Yuji Itadori ate the finger of a powerful Curse named Sukuna and became its vessel, Gojo sought to teach him despite regulations meaning Yuji would have to be executed right away instead (2, 71-76), as this might prove to be his solution for reestablishing the system to become better than before. This had other benefits as well, since Yuji would be able to track other parts of Sukuna that had yet to be found (3, 106-107), as consuming them all and then dying would kill Sukuna once and for all. Basically, it was a postponed execution, but eventually Gojo would aim to snuff out that regulation so that he could live the best times of his life (11, 84). He would end up having to deal with these higher-ups on many occasions (10, 49-50).
However, eventually on Halloween Night in Shibuya, tragedy would occur. Geto was back with a large group of Curses that’d attack with the purpose of defeating Gojo no matter the damage needed. The group would take advantage of Gojo’s few weaknesses, specifically by making him unable to unleash his full power due to having civilians nearby since he works best fighting alone and considers those fighting alongside him to hold him back (84, 99-100), as well as his morals (89, 17-19). This would result in his defeat, along with several casualties (84, 88-94), where Gojo would be sealed away (90). The balance of power of Jujutsu society collapsed (93, 104).
This incident was perfectly suited to Geto, no, Kenjaku’s ideal way of evolving humanity (145). Kenjaku is actually an ancient Sorcerer with the ability to take over people’s body’s, and this was the case with Geto after Gojo had killed him. Gojo’s sealing wouldn't be undone, with “The Shibuya Incident'' and its many casualities showcasing that he should remain sealed, thought to be an accomplice. Attempting to free Gojo was now considered a crime that resulted in execution, but now also all of his decisions among Jujutsu society were revoked (137). This included Yuji’s execution, but all hope wasn’t lost, as his students still respected his teachings and followed them still to prevent the dark side of Jujutsu society from corrupting further (143 and 158). Plus, with how stories go, he’ll probably eventually be freed someday to provide a needed light in the cursed Jujutsu society (144).

Note
What’s being used here as the main sources are the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 manga, which is a prequel to the main story. The official databook for Jujutsu Kaisen will also be included, as well as a “Deep Learning Mathematics Lecture'' from Jump GIGA Summer 2021, which involved the mangaka Gege having mathematicians help him explain various Jujutsu Kaisen techniques, including Gojo’s.
Personality
Gojo is mainly laid back and selfish with a smile on his face most of the time due to his status as being part of the Gojo Family, as well as playful (3, 105-106/108), even to the point of buying souvenirs before arriving to help out in a situation where people could have died (2, 67).
Very quirky all around (4, 112 and 32, 140-141/148-150).
Is still a nice guy who will always look out for his students (10, 50-51), and it’s very genuine how much he cares for them so that they can change Jujutsu society to be better (11, 79-84).
Though he will leave out details for them as sort of tough love (21, 103).
Yuji wasn’t even the first person on death row that Gojo helped out (Volume 0 - 1).
While serious when he needs to be while fighting, he’s still somewhat playful toward opponents (16, 169).
Is also really serious when it comes to shaping Jujutsu society, even talking down to the old leaders who he deems as selfish (18, 36-41).
Can come off as blunt (33, 170).
Cursed Energy & Jujutsu
Cursed Energy is an energy source made from negative emotions such as sadness and anger (12, 103).
It’s normally invisible but skilled humans are able to see Cursed Energy and beings composed of it like Curses (1, 40-43), or through special glasses (18, 33-34).
Jujutsu is the ability for Sorcerers like Gojo to utilize Cursed Energy to perform Cursed Techniques for various types of abilities (12, 96-100), using the Cursed Energy like electricity that powers electronics.
Sorcerers must control their emotions to channel Cursed Energy correctly since simply getting angry isn’t enough (12, 103-105 and 13, 110-112), with controlled emotions being able to turn into Cursed Energy (105, 152-154).
Cursed Techniques can be granted upon one’s birth (42, 165 and 43, 175), which are called Innate Cursed Techniques (82, 66).
As seen throughout the series, hand signs are typically how one performs Cursed Techniques (190).
Used for exorcising Curses (1, 51), even being able to be blasted as a projectile (12, 98-99).
Can enhance a user’s physical strength (12, 100-102), speed (43, 176-178), and durability (22, 109-110), with the latter even aiding in internal damage to the body (71).
It’s also possible to imbue objects and weapons with Cursed Energy to reinforce those as well (140 and 141), even allowing for random objects like rocks to be shot as powerful projectiles (161), though imbuing too much can cause the object to break instead (Volume 4 - 4, 175).
Cursed Energy lingers around an area after being used and is traceable through sensing in that way (19, 54-56).
Gojo has a large amount of cursed energy at his disposal (140).
While Yuta is stating that he has more than Gojo, he’s using Gojo as a comparison for how much Cursed Energy he has, implying Gojo still has a ton of it, but not as much as Yuta.
Besides Sorcerers, the only non-Sorcerers who give off Cursed Energy are from Japan with the exception of foreigners only when they die (209).
Limitless
A Cursed Technique that is known to those of the Gojo Family and requires a sophisticated manipulation of Cursed Energy (16, 188), with Gojo obtaining it for the first time in 100 years (68).
In Gojo’s case, this manipulation is largely thanks to the Six Eyes (Volume 0 - 4, 167).
This allows Gojo to manipulate space at the atomic level (Volume 0 - 4, 166), specifically by utilizing the Infinity that is naturally present everywhere and bringing it into reality (14, 139).
Used for various techniques depending on how it’s fueled (75).
Limitless is so great that it can even work in a Prison Realm where time doesn’t flow (91, 66-69).
Infinity
A Cursed Technique brought into reality by Limitless (14, 139), where Gojo slows down objects approaching him infinitely (14, 134-136 and 66), essentially making attacks unable to reach him and stop in place entirely due to the infinite space he creates between him and his opponent or projectiles (2, 70 and 14, 128-129).
In concept, this is similar to counting the decimals between the numbers 1 and 2. No matter how high the decimal is, it will never reach 2 due to the infinite decimal numbers from 1 to 2. This technique is also very similar to the Achilles paradox (14, 146).
Gojo is able to adjust the scale of distance between him and his opponent in this made infinite space so he can make physical contact if need be (14, 136-137).
Opponents also have their perception of space altered so that they think they’re successfully hitting Gojo when they’re actually not (14, 131-134).
He can of course turn it off if he intentionally wants something to touch him (12, 101-103), which also allows him to fight his opponents physically (14, 136-137).
The activation for Infinity has been set to be automatic thanks to the Six Eyes, which takes effect by factoring in the mass of the approaching object and its degree of danger from the amount of Cursed Energy while also considering the object’s shape and speed (76), which allows him to pick and choose what goes through Infinity.
This even activates when physically fighting someone to the point where his opponent’s splattered blood won’t touch him (14, 137-138).
Gojo still tends to use hands signs in conjunction when activating Infinity despite its automatic use, which is something he used to do in the past, and it might be due to wearing his blindfold and covering the Six Eyes when holding back, as he’s shown to not need to once it’s off (85).
He’s also noted that he’s been able to minimize the amount of hand signs used for Infinity (76), meaning he still needs to do them without the Six Eyes, though with them it makes this entirely passive.
Gojo keeps Infinity almost always active, unless he willingly turns it off for strategies (85, 115-118), being able to do so thanks to utilizing Reverse Cursed Technique on his brain at all times 24/7 (76).
He can also amplify Infinity to form a barrier that crushes targets with a powerful force (85, 121-124), even granting the ability to blast an invisible force at those who are far away (2, 74).
He’s also used this to stand on water (14, 145 and 15, 151), and if an object is between two of his body parts then that object will float (69).
Gojo has noted that Infinity does struggle when it comes to countering poisonous objects (76).
Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue
A technique born by empowering Limitless with negative energy (69).
This lets Gojo cast a strong magnetic effect onto a target for various purposes (14, 146 and 71).
Gojo has used this to crush and twist objects (12, 98-99) and people’s limbs (52, 184-185), send people flying (71), collide two objects or people together with great force (69), collapse buildings by basically compacting them (65 and 221), and generally gives him some form of control of objects like it’s telekinesis to use against enemies (224).
It’s also been stated that this technique can be used for high-speed movement (84, 100), presumably by attracting himself toward an object or area and is most likely what he used here to get to an enemy judging by the “fwp” sound (52, 183).
Cursed Technique Lapse - Maximum Cursed Energy Output: Blue
The most powerful form of the Blue technique, utilizing it at its maximum output as the name would suggest.
This version of the technique has a wide range and is typically used to affect large areas with the capability of destroying buildings and forming large trenches (71), which is pretty useful for clearing the way so that opponents can’t hide from Gojo if he can’t sense them via Cursed Energy.
Cursed Technique Reversal: Red
A technique formed by fueling Limitless with positive energy through utilizing Reverse Cursed Technique (12, 106 and 74).
Gojo creates a red sphere before unleashing a destructive repulsive force powerful enough to obliterate large sections of a forest as well as most opponents in its way (14, 139-141 and 74).
This is stated to be at least twice as powerful as his Blue techniques (84, 100).
Another showing of it being used pretty quickly (Volume 0 - 4, 166).
Hollow Technique: Purple
A technique created by colliding both Blue and Red’s opposing forces to form an imaginary mass that is blasted forward (52, 185-189 and 75).
Gojo can either fire off a massive attack able to cause destruction and craters throughout a forest (52, 187-189) or a smaller version of it that is much faster to use (75).
The attack has been described before as “Void” in interviews.
This attack can be interpreted as erasing matter due to the two infinite forces of Blue and Red combining, similar to how cancellation works in mathematics or a matter and antimatter reaction.
There are times where this attack doesn’t erase everything it has hit such as here where Hanami still had bones poking out (53, 8/15), so while it is most definitely matter erasure, it isn’t existence erasure.
Gojo can also put out a 200% output version of the technique that’s much more powerful (223).
Teleportation
Limitless gives one the ability to teleport (16, 188), which Gojo has shown even in battle for sneak attacks and does so via clapping his hands (52, 182-184).
Using a drawn magic circle allows one to teleport other people (Volume 0 - 3, 137-138).
Levitation
Limitless allows one to levitate in the air and move around (52, 181-183), with Gojo even being able to fight while doing so.
Traveling through the air for him is more like walking on it (83, 77-79).
Binding Vows
A Binding Vow is a self-imposed restriction one can make for themself or others in order to gain something such as enhanced abilities (11, 75-76), with stricter restrictions or doing multiple restrictions granting greater potential for one’s power (23, 136-139).
These can make their existing techniques more powerful or grant an increased amount of Cursed Energy one can use (18, 68-70).
Breaking a vow can have severe consequences (11, 76), and those consequences are unknown when it comes to making one with someone else (79).
They’re made through the use of Cursed Energy and are based on mutual interests (11, 77).
Showing One’s Cards is a specific vow where one explains to their opponent how their abilities work (47, 81-82).
Besides making the user’s techniques more effective, a talented Sorcerer like Gojo can manipulate his opponent with this by either creating a set of rules that restrict others or misleading them by hiding certain things about a technique or different applications of it (20, 68 and 50, 139-140/148-149).
More explanations of the latter example about not telling the whole truth of one’s Cursed Technique (51, 157/161-162).
Gojo specifically explains the functions of Limitless to increase its potency (14, 134-137).
Black Flash
This can be done with any attack, showcased mostly as a punch, but kick versions of Black Flash have been performed (128).
Black Flash requires an immense amount of focus to the point where no Sorcerer has ever been capable of performing it at will (48, 104-105).
Using Black Flash in a fight typically occurs when the user is in the zone similarly to an athlete (50, 144-145), with the use of Cursed Energy becoming as natural as breathing.
Reverse Cursed Technique
A technique that converts usual negative Cursed Energy into a positive form (Volume 0 - 4, 155/158 and 74), which can be used to heal the bodies of oneself or others (13, 124 and 72).
It’s been stated however that Gojo himself is incapable of healing others with it (113, 139).
The technique stems from the user’s brain (175), meaning destroying the brain can stop it (188), or through the use of toxins (189).
It works just like normal multiplication in math.
This has allowed Gojo to survive impalement through the throat and head (71 and 72), letting him live even when so close to death (74).
Sukuna once used it to restore Yuji’s sliced off hand (8, 10-11 and 9, 29).
There are other greater showings of Reverse Cursed Technique regenerating entire organs (143), and Gojo himself has shown that he can survive his body being sliced through over and over again and even restore one of his Six Eyes if it’s damaged (226), essentially granting him pretty potent regeneration.
It’s also possible that the cuts he was taking weren’t cutting through him entirely since he was able to survive a bit in Sukuna’s Domain Expansion despite deactivating Reverse Cursed Technique and the fact his clothes remained intact, as well as the fact he had to use another technique later on to prevent Sukuna’s slashes from slicing through him (227).
The use of positive energy in his Red (14, 139) and Purple (52, 185-189) techniques also stem from Reverse Cursed Technique, as Gojo is all around capable of feeding positive energy into his Cursed Techniques (13, 124).
Gojo can also use Reverse Cursed Technique to replenish exhausted Cursed Techniques if his Domain Expansion barrier has been broken (226 and 227), though this still took a bit of time and isn’t instant (228).
Reverse Cursed Technique can’t restore one from transmutation (112, 129).
Reverse Cursed Technique struggles to remove poisons from the body despite being used for healing (136), with only highly skilled users of it being capable of doing so (143 and 189).
Curtain
A black barrier created by Sorcerers that’s capable of unveiling Curses while either keeping people stuck inside or wall outsiders from entering it (6, 155-156), which extends to even into the ground to form a perfect spherical barrier (45, 46), and is also able to block radio waves (80, 14-15 and 83, 67-68/74).
This technique is useful for concealing threats to non-Sorcerers since they can’t see them or anything that occurs inside the barrier (45, 46), basically keeping citizens’ peace of mind (65).
Example showcasing Gojo’s use of it (Volume 0 - 1, 30-31).
Sorcerers are able to sense when their Curtain is damaged (Volume 0 - 3, 140).
Sorcerers are also able to impose conditions to their Curtains to grant them additional effects (25, 177), such as this example where Satoru Gojo was denied access from entering the barrier and was repelled when attempting to as a cost for everyone else being able to enter (45, 33-35).
The example given also means a Curtain can become too strong for an individual simply by singling them out from not being able to enter.
This example also shows that Curtains are huge, and can easily have a 400 meter radius, though they do vary in size depending on how one decides to make it (85, 125 and 91, 60).
Another example of a condition is being outside your own Curtain will make it stronger as opposed to staying inside of it yourself (94, 112-114).
Conditions for a Curtain only affect things related to Cursed Energy (83, 68), such as humans, Cursed Spirits, and Cursed Objects.
A skilled Curtain user can even have the effects of the barrier occur before it visually finishes (45, 32), or be able to make multiple Curtains of various sizes and be between them (85, 125).
Falling Blossom Emotion
It has been confirmed that this technique is passed down through the Big Three Sorcerer Families (108, 35), which includes the Gojo family, with him showing it off in combat much later in the series (227).
Innate Domain
Another example of spiritual relation with Innate Domains is the time where Yuji died and entered Sukuna’s Innate Domain (1, 64-65), and stayed there to converse and combat with him before Sukuna revived him through the use of Reverse Cursed Technique to restore his heart (11, 69-79).
Impaling someone with a part of their body can allow them to see into the other’s soul/Domain (28, 62-64), and even allow them to interact with each other like for fighting (30, 106-107).
Domain Expansion
A Domain Expansion is an Innate Domain imbued with a Cursed Technique and manifested (15, 153-156 and 130), utilizing Cursed Energy in a way that’s considered the most powerful technique of a Sorcerer (8, 18-19).
Specifically it is the realization of the Innate Domain plus the activation of the Cursed Technique (56, 82).
The technique involves the user releasing their Cursed Energy to form a barrier and separate dimension that traps victims (30, 92), granting various benefits like:
Buffs to all of the user’s physical traits (15, 156).
All of the user’s attacks are sure to kill while still being unavoidable (30, 92).
A user can trap specific individuals and leave out others from being inside (30, 91).
Victims can only be trapped inside a Domain if they possess Cursed Energy of their own (198).
This is most likely the reason as for why environmental settings like plants and buildings aren’t brought into the Domain.
The only way to bring someone with zero Cursed Energy into a Domain is if they either agree to the condition, choose to invade it intentionally, or if the user uses a physical object as the Domain’s shell, such as the inside of a building.
Even if someone with zero Cursed Energy is inside a Domain, the sure-hit effect can’t recognize them and won’t come into play.
Being inside the Domain here is considered to be inside the “heart” of the individual (11, 74-75).
A victim can attempt to run away to escape the Domain Expansion but this is deemed to be almost impossible (15, 158), mainly due to the inside of a Domain being bigger than the outside and it being very difficult to even find the boundaries of the inside in the first place unless one came into it from the outside and kept track of where it was (109, 64/70).
Domains are typically much more durable on the inside than the outside, though these properties can be switched at the cost of the Domain’s effects being lessened (227).
A better way to beat out someone’s Domain Expansion is to expand one’s own and the more polished one will suppress the other (15, 159-162), or at the very least it will make the other more vulnerable (82, 56).
This is the outside view of what a Domain Expansion looks like (15, 164 and 30, 91), which is important to know since making the barrier tougher on the inside means that it’s more vulnerable on the outside and may allow outsiders to intrude (30, 103-104), though usually this is still a bad idea under normal circumstances since that then leaves you trapped in their Domain (30, 105).
This has shown to be the case for Gojo’s Domain Expansion as you can see the size of it here (225).
Gojo has shown that he can increase or decrease this range immensely (227), which makes the barrier weaker or stronger respectively.
One is capable of moving the coordinates of their Domain to eject someone out of it (189), which may put them in an awkward area or position in the real world without the Domain’s normally flat footing.
Typically used as a last resort move due to how much Cursed Energy is required for it (31, 113), but it’s also considered one’s most fearsome technique (134).
After using Domain Expansion, the user’s Cursed Techniques are briefly depleted and are difficult to control (130 and 179), though this is unlikely the case for Gojo thanks to the Six Eyes.
A Domain will usually disappear when one dies and this can be used as a strategy into making one’s opponent think they’ve won (82, 57-61/63).
But this also showcases how Domains are linked to the user’s Cursed Energy when they do go away upon the user’s death (111, 93-94).
Unlimited Void: Gojo’s Domain Expansion where those who are inside are exposed to a stream of infinite information that overwhelms their minds so much that they become a vegetable (15, 159-164), eventually dying.
The specifics of this literal information dump is that it forces victims into thinking about an infinite amount of possibilities in terms of perception and communication (15, 163), to where a single action can be interpreted in an infinite amount of ways that they are forced to take in.
An example the mangaka Gege gave was that viewing an apple would force someone to think of the letter “A” with no end since it’s the first letter in the word “apple” (15, 166), though other aspects of the apple are also most likely taken into account.
Gojo is able to lift this effect for various non-lethal purposes like interrogation (15, 163-165).
One can avoid the effects of Unlimited Void by being in contact with Gojo (15, 159-165 and 84, 101), though a non-Cursed Energy user can also survive for 0.2 seconds without any super harmful effects occurring (89, 24-25), though they will need a couple months of rehabilitation afterward, as 0.2 seconds within his Domain Expansion still gives half a year’s worth of information.
This 0.2 second version of the technique is something Gojo has done to avoid majorly hurting innocents (89, 20-25), though using it is also seemingly faster as Mahito’s own 0.2 second Domain Expansion that he replicated from Gojo allowed it to outspeed Sukuna’s attempted assault against Mahito for touching his soul (130).
Unlike other characters’ Domain Expansions, Gojo is capable of using his multiple times per day (109, 63), meaning if he messes up the first time, he still has enough energy to try it again over and over.
New Shadow Style: Simple Domain
A barrier technique that allows one to not be affected by the opponent’s imbued Cursed Technique inside a Domain Expansion (102, 14), even leaving the caster of the Domain Expansion vulnerable to attacks (82, 11).
The technique ends if both of the user’s feet leave their original position (40, 5).
Domain Amplification
Amplifying oneself with their Domain involves expanding it thinly over their body as a sort of film (84, 95-99), which has a couple of effects like:
Increasing the physical strength and durability of the user (85, 119).
Nullifying the sure-hit sure-kill Cursed Techniques of a Domain Expansion like the Simple Domain technique (102, 102-103), along with being able to do so for Cursed Techniques unrelated to Domains (84, 98-99).
The user is unable to activate their own techniques while performing this (85, 115-118), plus the neutralizing effect can be countered if one increases the power of their technique to become stronger than the amplification (85, 120-121).
While Gojo himself hasn’t utilized this technique so far, he’s knowledgeable of it and how it works (84, 98-99 and 227).
Gojo has also been stated by the author that he can do anything that he tries to do (4, 130), which should include Domain Amplification.
Even if this weren’t to be granted to Gojo, it is confirmed that the Falling Blossom Emotion technique is passed down in the Big Three Sorcerer Families that includes Gojo’s, which also protects from Domain Expansions.
Equipment & Physical Abilities
Sorcerer Physiology
“Sorcerer” is the term used for those who can utilize Cursed Energy (4, 111).
Cursed Energy starts from the Sorcerer’s belly/gut before flowing through the rest of the body and typically needs to be done consciously while thinking of the body as one to be used most effectively (37, 55-58 and 188).
The difference between a Sorcerer and a non-Sorcerer is thought to be in the brain (201).
They’re capable of seeing Cursed Energy and beings made of it when that’s invisible to normal people (1, 40-43).
Cursed Energy and beings are incapable of being captured through pictures or footage (20, 77) or heard by normal people possibly (200), as it cannot be parsed by the brain.
Sorcerers are also incapable of dying from Curses while still being able to feel them (45, 46), which is important since non-Sorcerers can’t feel Curses despite still being able to touch them, meaning they’re unaware of the negative effects happening to them.
They can also sense the presence of Cursed Energy and locate it (1, 21/28-29 and 13, 119-121), and this aids in figuring out how an opponent utilizes Cursed Energy (29, 76-77) and overall detecting and reading their movements (36, 40 and 121), along with gauging how strong the opponent is (52, 183) and noticing them becoming weakened (110, 87).
Sorcerers have also been noted to have greater survivability than a normal human (73).
The soul and body in Jujutsu Kaisen are one and the same (91, 52-54), and are made up of information (66).
The mangaka Gege has also described the body as being similar to a Domain.
Characters have techniques based on the knowledge that the body and soul are made of information (98, 12 and 147).
Hostile Sorcerers in Jujutsu Kaisen can potentially even come back as a Curse unless they’re killed by Jujutsu (192), though whether this would apply to Gojo depending on the context of the fight is unknown.
Six Eyes
These eyes grant Gojo a few abilities, such as:
Seeing through the target’s Cursed Techniques (71), even discovering the mechanics of how one works (69).
Sensing Cursed Energy greater than before (4, 120/125-126 and 71), even being able to see it in perfect detail from many kilometers away (52, 182-184), with it being like he can see in infrared vision even with his eyes closed.
This even allows him to identify people (90, 42-43).
Granting enhanced processing power to the brain, enough for Gojo to perceive three years worth of information/memories in his mind in one minute (90, 33/36-41).
That said, this minute is only within Gojo’s mind, as it actually took place in an instant, meaning in an instant Gojo took a minute in his brain to receive three years of information/memories (91, 70), however that works.
The Six Eyes also enhance Limitless and Cursed Energy in various ways, letting Gojo:
Utilize Limitless’s Infinity to its fullest, allowing it to manipulate Cursed Energy at the atomic level (Volume 0 - 4, 166) and be set automatically so that it works passively (76).
Make the usage of Cursed Energy for techniques to be infinitesimally close to zero (140), meaning he basically never runs out of Cursed Energy.
Use his Domain Expansion multiple times per day (109, 63), since normally one would only be capable of doing so once per day.
Covering his eyes will lessen the potency of the Six Eyes and that’s good for preventing overusage, but it’s still very strong even when covered.
Blindfold
Gojo wears a blindfold over his eyes to prevent overusage with his Six Eyes (11, 68), which can tire him out if used for too long even with Reverse Cursed Technique refreshing his brain.
He typically takes it off when he is getting more serious in a fight (15, 159-162 and 84, 104-105).
While noted above when discussing Cursed Energy, his ability to sense Cursed Energy and things surrounded by it means he doesn’t need to see with his eyes normally.
Master Hand-to-Hand Fighter
Gojo is incredibly skilled in hand-to-hand combat (14, 137-138), being able to dodge physical strikes before delivering a decisive blow back (2, 68-69) and aim for an opponent’s pressure points to knock them out or even fatal spots potentially (2, 71-72).
Tactical Intellect
Gojo is a very experienced Sorcerer who has proven to be very intelligent in combat (71).
He’s known to keep in mind weak points in others even from the most subtle of times in non-combative scenarios that he usually helps his students overcome (58, 116-120), but when fighting, this also means he would also easily be able to identify weak points in his opponents.
Gojo’s official bio also states that he can do anything he tries (4, 130), which is useful for coming up with on the fly strategies.
He has even shown to trust his enemies based on past experiences that allow him to realize how scenarios with them might go and help him make decisions for taking them down (Volume 4 - 4, 188).
Common sense means nothing to him when it comes to battle strategies (226).
Resistances
Biological & Soul Manipulation: Experienced Sorcerers have proved to be capable of protecting their soul from Mahito’s biological and spiritual attacks using Cursed Energy (23, 131-135 and 124), which Gojo, as a fellow experienced Sorcerer himself, should be able to do himself. Both being protected simultaneously is due to the body and soul in Jujutsu Kaisen being one and the same (13, 119-121). Reverse Cursed Technique is also capable of fixing manipulation of the body and soul (27, 37).
Extreme Heat: Gojo was completely unharmed by Jogo’s extreme temperatures thanks to Infinity even when inside his Domain (13, 122-124 and 15, 153-156), who is able to char up a person’s body by being near them (12, 88-89) and vaporize the ashes of dozens of bodies by simply moving his finger (12 89).
Mind Manipulation: Gojo was able to quickly shake off the effects of Hanami’s Flower Field technique that manipulates targets by draining them of their will to fight (16, 170-171). It’s also very likely Reverse Cursed Technique being active 24/7 would refresh his mind against any attempted mind control.
Pain Inducement & Curses: Sorcerers are able to prevent these types of effects that Cursed Energy usually hurts normal humans with (1, 33/37).
Foreign Intrusions: The inside of a body in Jujutsu Kaisen is like that of a Domain, so foreign objects are unable to be formed inside of the body. The only way for foreign objects to enter the body is to either pierce the skin or be breathed in like with toxins.
Time Stop: Gojo’s Limitless was able to function in a realm where time doesn’t flow (91, 66-69), as well as being able to think and speak in said realm as well, though as mentioned already, the Prison Realm he was held in needed time to adjust to him and may have been the reason why it worked (92, 76).
Information Manipulation: Gojo’s Innate Domain and Domain Expansion is the Limitless itself and thus would logically protect him from information-based mind manipulation (15, 163), as one would encounter Gojo’s Innate Domain in the process of attempting to do so. It should also be noted that users of Cursed Energy have been shown to be able to return to their senses after a few minutes like Mahito here (90, 48).
Feats
Strength & Attack Potency
Did an oopsie and accidentally made a hole in a wall (2, 74-75)
Decimated part of a forest with Red (14, 139-141)
Kicked Jogo with enough force to create a giant splash in a lake (14, 142-143)
Tore off Jogo’s head (15, 164)
Purple was able to cause massive destruction throughout a forest including a large crater (52, 187-189)
Was able to crush two people’s skulls by colliding them into each other with Blue (69)
Blue’s maximum output is capable of destroying buildings and forming large trenches (71)
While most likely exaggerated, American government folks considered that Gojo could probably power an entire country with his Cursed Energy (200), which they discussed in reference to using Cursed Energy as a substitute for various fossil fuels and renewable energies
Purple with a 200% output was able to absolutely obliterate a large building (223)
Speed
Escaped Jogo’s sonic and explosion attack by jumping high into the air (14, 130-131)
Quickly went from the lake he was fighting at to grab Yuji from Jujutsu High and bring him back right all during Jogo’s inner thoughts (14, 143-145), with Yuji stating he was just at the school about 10 seconds ago until Gojo took him when including the talking from beforehand (15, 150)
Casted Unlimited Void in 0.2 seconds (89, 19-26)
Can process three years worth of information/memories in one minute (90, 33/36-41)
Was stated that he could escape the range of Sukuna’s Domain Expansion “in a flash” even if it encompassed all of Shibuya (226), though this was likely talking about his teleportation
Durability
Survived being stabbed by Toji thanks to utilizing Cursed Energy (71)
Was stated to have been the only one to survive Mei Mei’s Bird Strike attack (102, 105-107), though this might be referring to Infinity’s use countering it
Scaling
Basically Everyone - Gojo has stated that he’s the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in the manga (2, 67), and was confident that he would also be able to defeat the strongest Curse in Sukuna with a little difficulty (3, 91-92). The mangaka Gege has even mentioned that he’s the most powerful period. This means he should scale to pretty much every other character.
Yuji threw a shot put ball hard enough to travel 30 meters and dent the steel bars of a soccer goal (1, 19)
Yuji is claimed by someone to be able to run a 50-meter dash in 3 seconds (1, 21)
Yuji survived an attack from a Curse that broke through a giant wall (7, 179-180)
Sukuna broke through a concrete bridge (8, 12-15)
Jogo’s stomp created a crater (13, 120-121)
Jogo’s Domain Expansion creates a whole active volcano when used at full power (15, 153-156)
Domain Expansions utilize one’s Cursed Energy through a Cursed Technique in order to make the environment (15, 156), so they should scale to the caster
Nanami collapsed a gigantic stone wall and caused a magnitude 2.0 earthquake (23, 139-144)
Ultimate Mechamaru destroyed parts of a forest with an attack that Panda also survived (38, 83-87)
Maki reacted to and sliced rubber bullet shot in half that was shot at her (42, 153-154), and later caught one with her bare hand that was inches away from her face when she began to react to it (42, 162-164)
Hanami created a massive amount of roots (49, 116-118)
Todo had a full thought on his opponent’s projectiles effects and deactivated his Cursed Energy defenses in 0.01 seconds (51, 158-160)
The strongest Mechamaru’s Ultra Cannon blue up this giant wall (80, 18-20)
Awasaka survived Megumi’s Max Elephant landing on him after dropping several stories above him (97, 175-177)
Yuji picked up and threw a car (97, 178)
Choso’s Piercing Blood projectile attack exceeds the speed of sound at the beginning of being fired (101, 80-82 and 103, 118)
Mei Mei shattered multiple giant gravestones one by one that trapped her beneath the ground (102, 93-97)
Sukuna caused this massive explosion (114, 168-171)
Jogo’s Maximum Meteor technique caused this much destruction (115, 178-179/184-187), even being stated to be capable of turning an entire town to ash
Sukuna survived being launched through multiple buildings (118)
Mahito was also capable activating Domain Expansion in 0.2 seconds (130)
Mahito slammed Yuji into the ground hard enough to make a crater (131)
Kenjaku reacted to and caught a sniper bullet shot at him (134)
Kenjaku made a giant crater with his Uzumaki technique (134)
Uraume’s Frost Calm and Ice Fall techniques create large amounts of ice (135)
Yuta broke a large section of a wall just by landing on it (140)
Chojuro’s Earth Arms technique forms two giant stone hands (150)
Jinchi’s Missile Fists technique is capable of crushing a building that Maki also survived (150)
Naoya was capable of surpassing subsonic speed in movement (151)
Yuji withstood the head of a giant gavel trying to crush him (165)
Yuta propelled himself as quickly forward as a shock wave (180)
Kashimo’s electricity Cursed Energy is a sure-hit attack without it being in a Domain Expansion and the narrator even describes it as lightning (184), meaning it most likely is real lightning and Hakari was able to move his head out of the way so that the bolt his his arm instead
Kashimo caused this giant explosion of steam with his lightning (189 and 190)
Noritoshi’s Piercing Blood pierced through Naoya’s Cursed Womb that was larger than several houses (192)
Naoya as a Cursed Spirit can move at supersonic speeds and can even reach Mach 3 (193)
Kenjaku’s Anti-Gravity System technique countered Tsukumo’s black hole creation with Star Rage (208), which should be a legitimate black hole since Tsukumo’s main technique involves mass and density
Sukuna survived Gojo’s Purple with 200% output that also decimated a building (223)
Training & Experience
Mastered Reverse Curse Technique the moment his throat was crushed from an attack so that he may survive multiple normally fatal blows (72 and 74)
Skilled enough to take on two Special Graded Curses simultaneously (85), even tricking Hanami to deactivate his Domain Amplification protection
Was able to hang on from being complete sealed away for quite a while (90 and 101, 69)
Was stated that he could kill every human in Japan if he really wanted to (101, 71)
Defeated Jogo (159-165), Hanami (52, 185-189), Megumi (58, 116), Toji Fushiguro (75)
Weaknesses
Can be overconfident of his abilities (75), and sometimes will turn Limitless off to test his opponent’s abilities (14, 130-131).
His high processing power can backfire if one is able to aim for past traumatic events related to him, such as when Kenjaku used Geto’s body to make him remember the past three years and leave him shocked that he had supposedly returned after he thought he died (90, 33/36-41).
Damage to the brain or toxins can reduce the effectiveness of Reverse Cursed Technique or prevent it entirely (188 and 189), with the latter being notable due to poisonous things being difficult to stop with Infinity (76), and the technique can’t save him from decapitation or the use of Cursed Tools toward the head (74).
Limitless is capable of being nullified, whether through Domains (84, 98-99) or specific items or abilities (Volume 0 - 4, 165 and 71).
Uses hand signs when his blindfold is on and sometimes even with it off when he was younger (75), which could waste precious moments unnecessarily in battle.
It’s harder to read an opponent’s movements if they don’t have any Cursed Energy.
Is capable of having his Cursed Energy drained completely (90, 42).
If the barrier of Gojo’s Domain Expansion is destroyed (225), there is a window in which he cannot utilize Cursed Techniques like Limitless (226).
Unlimited Void can be bypassed if the target is in contact with Gojo himself (227).
Unlimited Void can be overpowered and shattered from the inside if the opponent is too powerful (229).
According to Gege’s comment on Chapter 229, Unlimited Void is less effective on Curses compared to humans.
