Raised in East Nowhere, Nebraska, Henry Pym was diagnosed by doctors at the age of 3 to be smarter than both of his parents combined. He grew into a scientific prodigy, always having a knack for tinkering at a young age. He would go on to major in biochemistry while minoring in cybernetics. Though he would become a successful and accomplished scientist, he longed for adventure, which he found in his first love Maria Travoya. For the first time in his life, this low self esteem workaholic felt alive. After shortly getting married and honeymooning in her native country of Hungary, Maria and Hank were soon found by political enemies of her father, where she was abducted and murdered. Hank would suffer his first mental and physical breakdown while being locked up for clashing with Hungarian authority.
Broken and battered, Hank resumed life in America where he endlessly poured himself into his work. If he could not avenge the death of his wife through physical means he would do so in his lab, taking on all of the world's injustices through the power of science. Henry had theories about changing the sizes of any object or living being but was usually laughed at by his colleagues for his “crazy” theories. He would go on to discover a group of extradimensional subatomic particles he would dub the “Pym particles” that could change the size of any matter they would come into contact with. Testing the serum on himself, he would suddenly shrink and find himself on an adventure in an anthill being chased by the residential ants inside, except for a lone, friendly ant that would help him journey back to his lab where he changed back to his full size. Moved by his experience in the anthill, Hank would have a fascination in entomology, and continued to work on his serum in private, knowing it would never be safe for the public to use.
Hank would find himself needing the use of these “pym particles'' more often than not, eventually figuring out he could use the properties of these particles to do some real good in the world, and aid in his fight against all of the world’s injustices. He would fashion a suit of unstable molecules that would adjust with his changing size, and a helmet that allowed him to communicate and control ants. That’s when he became Ant-Man. In his superhero days he would meet the next love of his life, Janet Van Dyne, who would partner up with him as The Wasp, where they continued the fight against evil with their size changing abilities.
Eventually they would run into Thor, Iron Man, and The Hulk. Ant-Man and The Wasp got to work with these heavy hitters against the mischievous Loki. Hank would go on to suggest the entire concept of the avengers to this group of superheroes, becoming one of the founding members of the Avengers. Because of his team up with these larger than life heroes, Pym’s low self esteem and inadequacy shot up, always comparing himself to his teammates. This inspired him to reverse the pym particle effects and become Giant-Man to swing it with the big leagues. Due to an accident and strain being a regular side effect when he would grow, Hank would become Goliath for a time.
After some time though, superheroing would not be kind to Hank Pym. Continued exposure and use of Pym particles had severe negative effects on Pym’s mental health. He would suffer a schizophrenic episode after inhaling unstable chemicals in his lab, becoming Yellowjacket[Proof], his fourth of 6 hero alter egos. Hank would eventually find interest in artificial intelligence and create Ultron, an A.I capable of individual thought and free will using his own brain patterns. However, Ultron would go on to become one of the Avengers greatest enemies. Even going so far as to mentally wipe Hank's memory, causing him to have another mental breakdown and attack the avengers. He would go on to have another mental breakdown later on where he would build a robot to stage a heroic moment to the avengers, and strike his then wife, Janet.
Though it would be long and hard, Hank would eventually redeem himself to the avengers, but take a leave from superheroing for a while. He’d still find ways of helping the avengers through scientific means rather than heroic as Dr. Henry the Scientific adventurer (His fifth superhero alter ego). He would be the lead scientist for the West Coast Avengers where he’d offer scientific expertise to the Avengers when they needed it.
Hank would get replaced by a Skrull during Civil War and come back to a world that went to shit when he left. He would come to find out his ex-wife Janet had been “murdered” and decided to take up her mantle as “the Wasp” in her honor and ran his own Avengers team. After that group disbanded he would be the headmaster of Avengers Academy and help teach the new superhero youth of tomorrow.
He’d eventually go on to lead his own Avengers group, and be titled by eternity itself as the Scientist Supreme of the entire dimension of 616.

At the age of 3 Hank was said by doctors to be smarter than the two of his parents combined.[Proof] Hank Pym is the world’s leading scientist in biochemistry. He majored in biochemistry, and minored in cybernetics.[Proof] He is one of the top 5 smartest people in the world,[Proof]even going so far as to outsmart Reed Richards on occasion[Proof] who is often regarded as the number one most smartest. Reed has also gone on record to call Henry the world’s most brilliant bio-engineer alive.[Proof]
He knows judo, karate and wrestling.[Proof][Proof] He has knowledge of human nerve and muscle tissue and can pinpoint weakness in the human body.[Proof] He was also trained by Captain America in hand to hand combat.[Proof]
He’s experimented with Pym Particles for so long that he figured out a way to shrink time and space itself.[Proof] When his ex-wife Janet was supposedly dead he found what he assumed was her body in a plane of existence called Underspace, which is a dimension that lies below the microverse. As soon as he did he managed to create an entire facility within Underspace called the Infinite Avengers Mansion, and he attached a robot named Jocasta to it that generated billions of Jocasta bots within the mansion itself. Cybernetic Helmet (Pic)
Hanks Cybernetic Helmet houses miniaturized electronic equipment, a transmitters to send impulses from wearers on ants frequency, a decoder that changes incoming and outgoing signals into intelligible meanings and a receiver that is open to vibrations from ants antennae.[Proof] Ant-man’s cybernetic helmet is capable of communicating with ants through their electronic wavelengths from their antennas.[Proof] This control over ants also extends over to other insects such as wasps, crickets, spider’s and the entire bug kingdom. In some cases his control over insects is even stronger than other beings who can also control insects, like the Scarlet Beetle and Scorpio. These ants can also talk to Pym as well through impulses but through actual speech as well. He also has a specially adapted mike that sends a signal to all ants on the surface of the planet.[Proof]

Ant-Man’s helmet enables potent control over the insect kingdom. He can control ants to clog up enemies' weapons or tech. Weaknesses
Though he has outgrown this weakness where it would fatally wound him, Hank Pym has had a history of growing and shrinking causing him strain. So while he can grow and shrink as much as he wants typically, it will eventually cause him too much strain, especially at the larger or smaller sizes. And while he has worked on himself to overcome his own demons, Hank has also had a history and a variety of different mental health issues, like depression and bipolar disorder which causes him to think rashly. Antman has strain whenever he grows again (Page 18).
